I know I’m late but I still use this lense in 2024 with my Canon c70 with the speed booster. It becomes a 17-40mm 2.8 but, I mainly use as a 24mm 2.8 since my 24mm 1.4 becomes a 17mm 1.2 😂😂 it’s weird because of the 0.71x booster

I have an original, but I found myself using it for way more than just running lol. So now I’m considering getting a zipper one to use for just daily use because I don’t have a lot of pockets on the clothes I wear and I’m a man so I only have my pockets. And flip belt has been a game changer I basically always have it on because i’m always wearing athletic clothing which tends to have the worst pockets for securely holding stuff.

The official page says to not store your phone in the zippered pocket, and that will destoy your phone, have you had any experience with that?

I appreciate the effort that's gone into this, and also the fact that you were able to make a video out of it, but when you factor in time and effort spent on making these, and the convenience and quality/aesthetic of the Pelican version... I bet they aren't actually that expensive. I do agree that $160 + tax is too much, but right now everything in canada is absurdly expensive.

It's great for landscape photography. Even without IS, just mount it on a tripod.

You saved me a ton of money. Black plastic corrugated with teal foam. Looks great. I used 3m velcro (the grippy plastic type) to adhere my panels to the wall. I'm using it for a toolbox in the car and nothing moves an inch. Wonderful.

I wanted a compact camera for video, and didn't want to drop $600+ for the Sony ZV-1. I was leaning towards the Panasonic Lumix LX10 , but also found the Canon G7X and M100. So thank you for the info. I might be leaning towards the Canon G7X III (for the audio jack) if I can find it for the right price.

It's good value for money if you have IS on camera body, otherwise the lens it self doesn't have IS. That's why 16-35 it's better value for money and a bit better quality.

How do you keep the items from jostling around? The top of the items doesn't look supported much -- even with the top foam in place.

Thanks for the informative review. I personally tend to wear the belt/pack aginst the skin under running clothes. I had used plenty of belts/packs that has sharp zippers or edgings that caused a lot of annoying scratching inside my clothes. So I think the original (no zipper) will be the one I should go for. I saw in the video that the flipbelt bottle nozzle was sticking out especially using the larger version. My question is have you ever had any scratch on the inside of your running clothes that caused by the bottle nozzle when wearing the belt against the skin? Maybe this is more a question about if the nozzle is smooth enough. LOL. Thx.

Yes, Flow only works with newer products. It doesn’t work with MX Master 2 mouse.

Hey Kyle, Great video! I was looking to get a camera to start making vlogs since I feel like the iPhone quality is not very good in comparison and want to start off with high quality videos! I know a lot of people use the canon G7X, however it is a little bit expensive. Unsure if its worth getting this one to start then upgrading later if I manage to stick with it or if getting the G7X right away will save future costs? Would love your advice and thanks in advance!
